Actually I've taken about five steps backwards! I just today sold the frameset I was going to mount the fenders on! So the good news is that I have money to buy fenders. The bad news is I have no bike to mount them to!
Sixty Fiver has one frame that I'm very tempted by if I can make it fit me. I'm also waiting photos of a couple of other frames from a couple of people on the Classic Rendezvous list. Seems I'm a picky frame shopper. What I'd like is a 531 framed Fuji Del Ray / Sagres apparently. A frame with double braze-ons on the rear drop outs so I can mount fenders with extra stays and/or a small rack, sport-touring geometry. Something a little sporty but not a full on race frame. Something for a mix of short evening rides around the neighborhood, perhaps a couple days worth of commuting to work on nice days, and the occasional charity ride.
