something like this should never happen. It is so preventable if the dogs are managed and cared for properly but when dogs go bad it sucks.
The dog probably hasn't gone bad. The dog likely sees a strange device entering his space and is out to protect the pack (which includes the woman who thinks he's nice).
Just because your dog is nice and sweet to you doesn't mean it won't attack your neighbor. I don't know why people are so clueless about this. Dogs aren't people.
Or it may just be that this dog goes nuts when it sees a bicycle. Probably does the same thing with cars, but it knows it can't catch them and even if it can they don't respond to attack.
It's a dog after all! It doesn't understand bicycles or cars.
I actually believe the owner when she said it's a nice dog, it probably is. Just not with strangers in its space on strange devices.
