I am just a beginner at this, but I thought it was very cool in my 4/5 race the other day that folks soft-pedaled after the one big crash and let folks get back on. The eventual 1st and 2nd place finishers were both involved in the crash, and they were strong riders who I think deserved the win. I guess it depends on what's at stake (in this race, nothing really)
