When these people take an anti-smoking stance they choose to make themselves out to be sanctimonious hypocrites.
True that. And from where I sit those people who preach the anti-smoking stance and who aren't overweight, sedentary people come across as sanctimonious ***holes!

In today's world there are very, very few smokers who don't already know that their habit hurts them. Much love to the folk out there who've never tried or taken up the habit. Not doing it makes it a helluva lot easier to avoid. Most of the folk you find nowadays who smoke do so primarily because they're people who have difficulty stopping! Some of them will never get a handle on that challenge.

Respect those people who have overcome their addiction(s). That's a worthwhile thing to do. Denigrating those who haven't been able to overcome their addiction doesn't do jack! It's a useless thing to do
