theres been a lot of good talk about the
alex da28s. i've never used them though, since im perfectly happy with my velocity deep-vs. the alex ones are cheaper and i've heard they can take a beating. should be able to get a set of formulas / da28's for $200 or less.
also you cannot go wrong with formula/mavic cxp-22 for
$149 at wheelandsprocket or
$145 at bicyclewheels.com.
