I never saw one fail either (we sold a number of them). My recolection si that the only 'issues' were with the smallest frame size (49 cm I think). They trashed the entire line as you indicated becasue they were pulling out and id not want the perceived liability. We had at least 10 come in to get sawn in half (Peugeot's orders) and replaced with the Triathalon, though I know of at least two that made it out the back door in one peice.
