Well yes and no as to spokes. Unless you are a clydesdale, spokes will be an
infrequent problem. One draw back is if the Campy wheels is a Campy hub.
Unless you are wedded to all Campy, you will be stuck with conversion kit
cassettes or Campy cassettes, with the size limitations thus imposed and
generally greater costs by factor of 40% and up up. Light weight wheels
help a little in riding to speed you up the hills but unless you are racing or
climbing a lot make little difference otherwise. They apparently are oriented
towards climbing. FWIW Telekom pro team used them for a time. If you are
a speedy rider, (averaging above 20mph for long distances) an aero wheel
might be a better choice. It is not clear that the spokes are not proprietary.
