If you're talking about Dixie you can just ride the roads around the fairgrounds too.
If you are talkin' Dixie, I suggest you warm up on the course (it's open about an hour before the c race) or at least get in 5 or 6 laps beforehand. You will want to see what it "has to offer" before you start the race.
