Of the five bike shops in my neighborhood, three currently have OnGuard locks in stock. OnGuard does not sell to discount chains, sporting goods chains, or to E-Bay VaporWare dealers. The company prefers to sell their locks through neighborhood bike specialists.

The bike store closest to me did not stock OnGuard until I asked them to. OnGuard shipped the store locks within a week. Even the $30 models are far stronger than the industry norm. The $50 models are probably the strongest bike locks ever to be widely available in the USA.

If I find something on the internet, and my corner bike store has the same exact item, I buy up on the corner. That way, the store will still be in business when I need their help...which is usually about once a week.
