The Ozark Roadies rode from Elkins, AR to Brentwood, AR through the backwoods, hills, and valleys. We had a double-digit headwind going out (and up). We probably averaged around 11 mph going out. The return trip yielded many smiles per mile. It was more or less downhill, and we had earned the tailwind which we were enjoying. I was hammering down a hill on Ol' Fuj and feeling pretty good about it when one of our number on a Baschetta (sp?) Corsa blew my seat stays off. I was running at about 44 mph, and I believe he said he was running about 52. We both enjoy the downhill runs.

It was a great day, and the countryside was quiet and beautiful. Our total mileage was about 42.
