The big-big combination should be avoided but you should be able to remedy said situation by increasing fder cable tension to slow the chain and allow it to land on the inner ring instead of overshooting.
Turn fder adjuster counterclockwise to increase tension; try 1-2 turns at a time but check to ensure up and downshifting still functions as desired. AVOID BIG-BIG!!! VERY ROUGH ON EQUIP., SHIFT FDER INSTEAD.
