Kenda Kharisma for more hardpack and less mud. The Kharisma Crystal has a harder, longer lasting compound than the Kharisma Lite. The Lite is, well, lighter and has a softer, grippier compound. If you plan to ride more pavement, than go with the Crystal. The Crystal and Lite use the same tread pattern.

Personally, I train on the Kharisma Crystal and race on the Lite. Mud performance could be better as it packs up quickly and sheds slowly, but still a good all-around performer.

Fortunately, you have lots of great choices. Also consider, in no particular order, IRC Serac, Panaracer Fire XC Pro (127tpi version), and Hutchinson Python.
