BTW...if your steerer is carbon take care when you cut it. Measure twice, cut once. Wrap the steerer with tape where you're going to cut and use light, even pressure with the saw to prevent splitting. Finally, at the end of the cut the excess steerer tube is going to try to hang down. Support the end your cutting off with your hand and use very light pressure on the saw to completely cut through the steerer.
