Heard of a group riding London that had a similar thing happen- except that the would be thief actually picked up a bike and walked off with it. He did not get very far as he walked in the direction of a couple of the group as they came out of a shop. And the would be thief was in Lycra and wearing a helmet. Just waiting for idiots to leave their bikes.
