You can use eccentric rear hub (ENO by White Industries or, like mine, home brew) to rise/shorten rear end, too. My MTB has very track geo with cyclocross fork, eccentric rear hub and 700c cross wheels.
hey do you think you could post some pictures of this project? I'm working on converting a mountain bike, and I'm looking to do something similer with it.
