What's a touring bike? There are 26" touring-specific bikes out there, and suspension-specific touring bikes out there! LHT is not the only fruit! The only thing you need to watch out for when adding a suspension fork is the change in fork length, which raises the front end of the bike, alters your seatpost angle etc. Depending on your current geometry, you might be alright with a fork which has only 80mm travel.
