In order for it to qualify as my surrogate age ride, you will have to ride a non-road bike, using platform pedals, and wearing Fred clothes (i.e. no lycra, no biking shoes, no shirts that have rear pockets). Oh, and you will have to make a minimum of 10 stops, including a mid-ride stop at a cafe or bakery to eat something.

The minimum amount of time required to complete the 53 miles is 5 hours, although 6 would be better.

Otherwise I won't be able to count it.
