Hey, from the North Olympic Peninsula

I'm from Port Angeles, WA. I just bought a Specialized Roubaix (my old road bike is a Cannondale R600). I try to ride as many organized event rides per year as possible (e.g., Seattle to Portland 4th year, Chilly Hilly 2nd year, Flying Wheels 3rd year, etc.). I commute about 16 - 20 miles (round trip) to work and back as often as possible. I started a local advocacy group called the Alternate Transportation Advocacy of Port Angeles in order to pursue the enhancement of this area's bicycle trail/path transportation network (e.g., getting the city/county/state to create more bike lanes and chip seal free road shoulders). Most of all, I can't stand lining Big Oil's pockets with my hard earned money OR polluting the atmosphere and contributing to climate change so I RIDE! Besides, I love those moments when I feel like I'm 17 again and flying just above the asphalt.
