Because those types of hubs are littering ebay and therefore don't sell for much.
Why not take it back to the shop and see if they'll try to get it warrantied anyway? Some shops go to bat for you and work their magic to get things done. Even if they say no, they can order the rim for you, which is what any shop will have to do if you want the exact one for the wheelset.
