Ya really digging the bike so far.
I got that bar at performance too. It was pretty cheap I though, $50 + 20% off as compared to 70ish I was quoted at an lbs. Didn't find too many 31.8 horns out there and thought the oval flats would be nice. I actually think these horns are short compared to my old nashbar horns.
I too rode brakeless for a year. Then put a break on for 6 months and didn't touch it once. Then I got this bike. I have a nice black 105 front break and tt lever if I decided to throw a brake back on.
As for the steering tube height ... I think it looks a bit high but the guy that fit me on the bike said that it was the correct height for me. I have a pretty flexible back so angling over isn't an issue but I think the guy said to maintain a flat back and the right amount of bend in my arms that the current setup was correct.
