Just did 50 miles on my Birdy

I just got back from a 50 mile ride on my Birdy. I'm a runner who just recently got into cycling. Since I've run marathons and half marathons, I naturally wanted to attempt a long distance. I found this route online and decided to give it a try. The ride took about 4:15, but I did stop quite a few times to drink water, eat snacks and even return a phone call. It seems that the bike is capable of an even greater distance with my physical conditioning being the limitation at this point. I was running Stelvios and I'm thinking maybe next time I will put on the Marathon Racers for more comfort as some of the roads were kind of bumpy. The route was flat for the most part with a good number of rolling hills. I've come to the conclusion that I need to do more hill work. All in all, it was a great ride. I wished I brought my camera along as I passed by some nice looking vineyards. Oh well, next time!
