thanks

Thanks for your reply. I applied PB Blaster to the bolt every week for 6 months. We have a galvanic condition here,Key West Fl, due to salt air where the metals fuse together. I found this out the hard way when I found a Bianici road bike in the trash. After doing the bearings and general cleaning I tried to move the seat post. No dice. I tried everything except going to the LBS. Gave up and went. What an eye opener. LBS gave me a lesson on galvanic interaction and said that the first thing they check on any bike for trade in is the seat post. They said the only option is to drill out the seat post and hope for the best. Salt air and metal do not mix. So now on all seat post ect I keep a layer of grease between the two metals. Did I do this on the Raleigh bolt? Sorry to say I did not.
Thanks again
John
