Ok, since you want to keep with the ocean scene, I will make one suggestion. On your route at around mile 18 turn Right at Bayside Dr., Right on Fernleaf (steep but really short), Left on Ocean Blvd, Left on Poppy (you have no choice), Right on Coast Hwy. You get great views of Corona del Mar and you pass all the dicey PCH traffic in that area. You will not be dissapointed.
