Speedmachine was my first recumbent in 2002. It's a touring bike in my opinion. It is extremely comfortable and beautifully made. It was not fast, but the ride is smooth and luxurious. Not a mountain goat.

Thanks for the response. What did you replace the Speedmachine w/? And what design differences could make a bent be better at mountain riding?
