Personally, I eat around 6 times before I leave work to ride home. I took my usual 2 meals and spread them around 6 smaller meals. This keeps me fueled better and eliminates overeating.
If you are running out of energy at 2:30 why not do something simple like add another snack at around 2:00pm?
