FYI: check out www.bicycleblowout.com/jamis.htm They have some 03 models that you might be interested in. I just ordered a 02 coda which very similar to a comp. It seemed to me that the carbon fork advantage is more for stiffer aluminum frame bikes. With a steel frame the ride is 'softer' so the feel of the ride even with a aluminum fork should be fine. So the question becomes .25 lbs for $250... For a commuting bike not worth it in my opinion.
