As far as I remember, this was Schwinn's entry level road bike that sold for between $150 and $200. It was made in Taiwan or China. It is a basic road bike, but better than department store junk. If it is in good condition, I would think that $75, or so, would be a fair price. Depending where you live, $100 would be absolute maximum. As for commuting, well it is a basic road bike that will get you from point A to point B.
