Is your computer wired or wireless, many wireless computers can be affected by RFI (radio frequency interference), all electronics give off some RFI, wireless bike computers sensors tend to have very tiny transmitters, so it doesn't take much RFI to affect them quite a bit. Wired computers, which don't depend on transmitters and a receiver, tend not to be affected.
