Maine seacoast ride report (w/ pics, of course!)

The weather on this morning's ride was amazing. It started off really cold (38 F) despite a late 9 AM start. But things warmed up to the low 50s by the end of the ride and the skies were crystal clear.

Tod was up for a metric century and I suggested Nubble Lighthouse. He ended up leading the ride and we took a lot of interesting detours and side streets I had never known before. We stopped in York for a bagel and managed to avoid heavy traffic from the York Harvest Festival, which was today.

It was definitely a memorable ride. I've been doing a lot of rides like this lately to enjoy as much of the area as possible before I move to Portland, OR. This week I hope to do some riding in the White Mountains of NH.

Some old lobster traps in Ogunquit, ME

Boats in Ogunquit

The Nubble Lighthouse - I think I've visited it at least four times this year.

This is a military fort near Kittery, ME - sorry but I can't remember the name of it. The bike in the photo is Tod's Rivendell Atlantis. He's a hardcore bike tourer.

Enjoy,

Scott
