I don't know that I'd go that far. You should really check out some of the Symbian S60 (think high-end Nokias, but the OS isn't limited to that brand) offerings to see what a real smartphone is capable of.
The iPhone is nice and it DOES suit the average person well enough, but they're really REALLY gimped for hardcore users.
Grats on the karma bonus today btw. I'd freak out if I lost my phone, I depend on it entirely too much (Nokia N82).
