Josh, glad you made it back ok. I think you're right about your bonk being about foods. I definitely get cravings for sugary stuff, but I find you always get a longer steadier dose of energy with bready starchy foods.
This ride is just all rollers. Push downhills. Push uphills. Gotta keep up that momentum.
After I got home my sister called and asked if I wanted to participate in this public art event on Federal Hill. "yeah, sure", I said. LOL !! It involved climbing up and down the front steep section of the hill. Oh yeah, and crabwalk too.
I really can't believe I did that no more than 45 minutes off the bike. My legs are toast.
Good ride though. 112 miles total. ~16 ave.
BTW If anyone else does this ride they should definitely stop at the bagel shop on Patrick st., get a salt bagel with crystal-meth spread. It lasts for miles.
