My goals are a little odd this week but, they do relate to cycling. My washing machine's motor died recently and I just don't have the money to replace it. There's a laundromat nearby, but all those quarters add up pretty quickly. I've also found that the more I get into living simply, the less I actually want to replace it.
So, my goals for this week are to find or build a hand powered clothes washer, and attach a bike to my busted washer like this guy did.
http://homelessdave.com/hdwashingman.htm This will let me use the spin cycle instead of a wringer to remove water between hand washing, rinsing, and drying.
Disclaimer: I've seen the same thing on a few different sites. So, I'm not sure if he's the one who actually built it, but his site has a video and a list of loads per month. I don't remember seeing either one of those on the other sites.
