I think it got up to about 48F when/where I rode today, but it definitely was windy. I had more than one gust threaten to blow me off the road. Sure glad I was maintaining a good grip on the bar; something I can't seem to do whenever I wear thick gloves. They always make me feel like I'm wearing boxing gloves.
Yup, even though my toes were positively numb by the time I got home, at least my fingers were nice 'n toasty -- thanks to my new pogies. To use WP's vernacular, these are the coolest (or should I say
warmest) things EVAH! I can wear my shorty (summertime) fingerless gloves, keeping 'em nestled inside all nice and warm, until they start to sweat, then I take 'em out and ride on the bartops for a while til they cool off.
Now if I just had something like that to put over my peddles.....*hmmm*
