Since I had no takers on today's ride (I know, I'm too far away from the Bay area
), I decided instead to ride with the Sacramento Wheelmen. Those guys are strong. This was easily my fastest ride yet.
54 miles, just over 3000 feet climbing, avg of 16.9, max speed of 47.7. Wow! I'm really thrilled I was able to hang on and not get dropped. Though I was suffering the last 20 miles. I was also able to eat a Clif bar while riding in the paceline. That was a big thing.
The weather was great. Hope everyone else had as much fun today as I did!
