I'm riding a modified motobecane fantom cross uno (
link) and want to upgrade my chain ring. My problem is chain compatibility. I can't for the life of me find a chainring that fits (1/8" chain, at least 44t, 5 bolt, 110 bcm). All the rings are for 3/32" chains! If i were to get a new 3/32" chain and matching chainring, would I be able to ride without also changing the free wheel and cog on my rear hub? Raising my ratio is beginning to be much more expensive and troublesome then I want it to...
