You seem to experience problems that saddles like the Terry and some others were made to address. From people I have talked to the Terry fly addresses that issue pretty well. Like you I was concerned with the same things and went to the extream of getting a Selle SMP. I got one with only a slight amount of padding but the Perineum area is free from contact. All I can say is there is a reason for saddles with deep channels or cut outs.
