I haven't tried it, but it seems to me that the fixed threads would be no use: they would keep the cog on the fixxer itself, but the force of back-pedaling would just unthread the fixxer (since it is not secured w/ a lockring and reverse threads). Is there something about the fixxer I am missing that makes it work better than I think it would (I've been wondering this for a while, actually)?
