I'd really like to get out on a ride tomorrow, but have no experience with the DC area trails after a snow. How do they fair? Do they clear the snow and salt the paths, and if so, how long after the snow are they usually cleared? I'm most interested in the Mt. Vernon trail and the Capital Crescent trail. I know quite a few people use these trails for commuting (including myself in warmer weather), so I'd think there'd be a need to clear them, but that seems logical and I don't want to make that assumption. Any help is greatly appreciated!
