Well I did what I promised myself I would not do, but I bought a bike on ebay. I was just checking out the cyclocross section when I came across a low milage 2008 Trek XO2 for sale. The seller had done some parting out. He had changed it to an 8 speed cassette, Replaced the bontrager wheels with CXP's, took off the SRAM derailleurs and replaced with XTR's, and had put bar end shifter's on it.

The price was set at 500, and I placed a bid. No one else bid and I got the bike for 564 shipped. Not a bad deal in my eye's, and I feel like it really gives me an opportunity to do some upgrading of my own in the future without originally breaking the bank for a new bike.

I have a work friend that has a box full of parts (He's a hardcore roadie) that he says we can do some short term upgrades until I find what I like. Mainly going to get those bar end shifters off of there first. So that is it, I will post some pics when it arrives.
