I don't know how you guys roll down in socal, but around here, good positioning with 2 to go doesn't mean ****. The best you can be is not ****ed. From there you have to fight to keep/gain spots before the final turn.
It means a lot when you've got the strength to hold onto it for 2 laps. I was feeling great.
The 3/4 race I did right after wasn't all that hard, and I was never really in any difficulty, but I just couldn't move up for some reason. I guess I was a little freaked after all the crashes and the near miss I had when I got run into a curb...
