I have a low tech version of this. I generally look at the map before I go and keep my eyes open as I pootle along. If I get really lost, I stop and ask someone where I am. This system has served me well for about 48 years since I was allowed out to travel around on my own.

I have to admit though, it is probably a less entertaining method, but it still works when the batteries run out and no one can steal it off your bike.



I'd get one too if I wasn't such a tight wad. I keep saving up for my retirement. Hang on - I am retired. Maybe I should buy one today.
