I use my backpack if I need my Camelback
Panniers if I need to carry some stuff
Trailer if I need to carry a lot of stuff...
Though I'm carfree now so I carry EVERYTHING on my bike, if it doesn't fit on my bike I don't own it.
Brought home a mattress last month on the trailer, that was fun.
