If you ride at the same speed, you'll burn less calories per hour with the new tires, but you'll be able to keep at it longer and go a greater distance. If you ride at the same level of exertion, you'll go faster, but burn the same calories per hour and go a greater distance. As long as you go that greater distance, you'll still be burning the calories in either case.
