I had a pedestrian come up beside me at a light and comment admiringly on my bike. I had my mid-80s Raleigh "town bike" that day; I love this bike, personally, but not many people see past the horrible decals (80s font styles... yuck; and these are peeling) and general Fred-tastic nature of this bike to appreciate the beauty of its steel frame, chrome fenders, chrome North Road bars, and the curve of the front fork (which has a rake on it you wouldn't believe).

I suppose he could have just been trying to chat me up; but he also told me about a Dutch bike he had seen earlier the same day, so I think he was genuinely interested in the bike. It was a nice little conversation anyway
