Good luck with you new bike... but you've really got to do some preventative maintenance now and then.
The bike was stored poorly for a few years in my in-laws' backyard. I think I would have preferred to sell it, but my in-laws are pack rats, and couldn't bear the thought of anything being sold or given away when it could potentially be useful a decade down the road.
Anyway, I moved, and didn't need a bike until a few years later - and after I realized that I did need a bike, I found that the only thing I really wanted was to get my old bike back.
Anyway, it's running about as well as it can right now, but it's definitely lost some overall efficiency in its adventures.
