"Have you picked out the century you want to do yet? If so do you know if they will have sports drinks at the sag stops? Assuming they do, what type and flavor? It's a good idea to find this out in advance so you can at least try that same drink to see how well you do with it. "

I will be doing a local ride called Cruising the Conejo in May. Last year I did the half metric. All of the offered courses are in areas that I've ridden or close by so that gives me the chance to try different sections as I prepare. The Full Century is about 6000' of climbing, mostly in the first 50 miles.

I've e-mailed the organizers asking the same questions you have above. I don't recall what drinks they had but there were plenty of munchies! When I did my full metric last summer, I was fine on all water and grabbing bagels, PB & J and oranges, although when I finished riding, I went straight to the luncheon and destroyed two plates of pasta and half a dozen rolls!

I appreciate all of the comments, keep 'em coming! This is a great help!
