Thanks guys. Jbon, the others are geared 52-18, which is not terribly high, but if somebody doesn't like it I can go with 52-20 instead.
Golfer, you'll definitely do better using a new track wheelset. There's nothing like a new set of wheels. Of course you have to get them at a good price. Ben's cycle in milwaukee has some nice cartridge bearing sets, but with shipping it can get more expensive:
