I have no direct information, but you may get more responses if you ask in a forum where people that do cycle touring hang out... I would try the Touring forum.
I know I have seen discussions of international touring there.
The appropriate regional forum may also give you a few insights too, but I don't know how much would be helpful from a touring perspective.
