Preferred Tire Size for Tour request
I'm sure this has been discussed many times but so's I don't have to go look it all up again, I'll go ahead and ask. What tire width would you all suggest on my bike for an upcoming tour from IL to VA? I have a Trek Mountain Bike with 26 x 2" tires at present. I'll be hauling front and rear panniers plus handlebar bag. I won't be over loaded but not riding really light either. Probably just an average haul. The bike does have a front suspension fork. I thought about going to 1.5" but just looking for suggestions. Thanks for any help offered.
