That's a November 2006 piece. If the thing worked as claimed, I'd expect everyone would have heard a lot more about it.

The piece reads like an infomercial, the "research" is about altitude training in general, not the alitmeter, and in the very unscientific test, the author's power didn't even increase.

I'm sceptical.
